Satellite Seed Libraries and seed stocks in Como neighborhood little free libraries
CCSL Pop Up at Keystone Community Food Services
CCSL will be sharing seeds with neighbors at Keystone Community Food Services from 2-4 pm. We’ll have a great assortment of seeds for veggies, flowers, and herbs and tips and tricks to share to get you growing your own garden adventure.
CPLC MN Food Share Neighborhood Food Drive
Como Park Lutheran Church is hosting it’s annual MN Food Share food drive in their parking lot on Sunday March 17th 12-2pm at the corner of Hamline and Hoyt. Last year Minnesotans experiencing food insecurity visited area food shelves 7.5 million times! Your help is needed and CPLC is making it easy with a drive up and donate event. See the items that are needed on the flyer and while you’re there pick up seeds and growing information for the Como Grow a Row campaign. Help us supply our neighbors with fresh locally grown nutritious fruits, vegetables, and herbs during this growing season.

Spring Snow Growing Winter Sowing Workshop
It’s time to get your hands in the soil and propagate some prairie plant joy for your pollinator gardens with this oh so easy method called winter sowing!
We”ll have seeds , soil, other materials and a limited supply of containers. To make sure there’s enough for everyone, please bring any clean translucent plastic containers like:
Quart size take-out containers
Milk jugs Liter or larger water or beverage containers
Greens containers
Limited to 30

Build a Cold Frame at the Saint Paul Tool Library
Now that you have your tomatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli started from seed it’s time to make a place where they can stay cozy until it’s warm enough to grow in the garden. Despite the spring snow it's time to grow!
Join us for a build workshop with the Como Community Seed Library and craft a Cold Frame for your garden! Sow your seeds without fear of frost in our wily weather and protect your young plants from predators...
Participants should bring their garden bed measurements and a reclaimed window/storm door or sheet of plexi-glass for their cold frame lid. Lumber and hardware for the rest of the frame will be provided.
$50 Per Person or Frame
